Tips, Tricks, and Mixes
Perfect for any pastel look, this soft shade is a light, true pink that turns out best on a clean platinum base, but will give a more rose gold hue to hair with a more golden blonde tone! Since it’s already quite light, diluting could cause less than desirable results unless your hair is platinum. But if you’re hopping on the trend of the barely-there pastel, you can dilute the color for an even lighter tint that will give the faintest pink hue to a platinum blonde base! Frosé is much more of a true pink compared to our other pink tones. If you’ve worked with diluted Virgin Pink or Electric Paradise, you know that these colors have a little bit of a magenta/fuchsia and coral/peachy undertone respectively. But Frosé is right in the middle of the road between the two, and doesn’t lean too strongly into either the cool or warm range!
Frosé + Electric Paradise
Frosé + Poison
Frosé + Virgin Pink
Like every Arctic Fox Hair Color, Frosé is easy to customize by mixing with other shades, and the range of pinks you can make with this one is stunning! For a light, pinkish mauve tone, use Frosé with a few drops of Ritual. Want more of a light berry color? Use a mix of Frosé, and a few drops each of Ritual and Purple Rain! Looking for a soft peach hue? Try a bit of Poison added to your Frosé! And if you just want to punch up the color a little bit for that strawberry smoothie feel, mix in a few drops of Virgin Pink or Electric Paradise! For those of you whose hair is more yellow-toned, you can expect a rose gold color when you use Frosé on its own.
Frosé + Ritual
As a pastel, Frosé may not show up if your base hair color isn’t light enough. While Frosé is a bit more pigmented than our other pastels like Girl’s Night, it will still require a near-platinum base to achieve the most vibrant results! It’s most likely to turn out well on pre-lightened hair, and can have more varying results on hair darker than a platinum or light blonde level. If your hair is not quite platinum and you want that true bubblegum hue rather than a light rose gold, try punching up Frosé just a little bit by adding a drop or two of Virgin Pink or Electric Paradise! As always, we recommend strand testing before you apply to make sure your color or mix is right for your base color. The color can fade out more quickly than more highly pigmented colors will, so proper upkeep and care is essential for the longest-lasting results! But if you love a proper change without commitment.
